We had a lovely visit from some of the team behind Central Otago Couture - The Eden Hore Collection. Author Jane Malthus & photographer Derek Henderson have signed our store copies.
George, Jenna, Katie & Wendy have chosen their favourite pieces in the book. Can you guess who chose what?

It’s almost the school holidays! We have x1 double pass to Dog Man to giveaway, which opens in theatres April 10th.

This weekend, it’s the 15th birthday of our long time retired puss, Lucinda! Whilst she hasn’t been in the shop for many years now, you’ll be pleased to know she’s still living the life in her Parnell abode.
Here’s some scenes of the store, Wendy & Jenna from 2010(!) and scroll through for a snuggly snap of current day Luci.

We are so lucky to have two new and experienced booksellers join the Time Out team.
Meet George & Pip!
GEORGE π«
On top of bookselling, George also works as a freelance journalist and critic. He just returned from five years in London and is trying his best to not make that his entire personality. Used to work with Sally Rooney’s cousin, which until working at Time Out was his main literary claim to fame.
George’s favourite books are: The Book of Strange of New Things by Michel Faber & The Idiot by Elif Batuman*
PIP π«
Pip is currently studying Art History and Media Studies at the University of Auckland. She has worked in other bookstores and behind the scenes in publishing before joining the Time Out team. Her favourites are social-realism stories, historical fiction, and books set in London. Alongside reading, she has a keen interest in film and music.
Pip’s favourite books are: Anne of Green Gables, A Terrible Kindness by Jo Browning Wroe & Starter for Ten by David Nicholls*
*Favourites are subject to change.
