Time Out's Lit Reads Book Club meets every month to keep you in touch with fellow book worms and keep you up to date with the book world.

Our next Lit Reads title is Sodden Downstream. Shortlisted for the 2018 Ockham Book Awards, this book tell the incredible journey of Sita, a Tamil Sri Lankan refugee on her journey to Wellington City from Upper Hutt during a storm.

This is a story of empathy,  delving into issues of zero-hour contracts, immigration and isolation.

Brannavan will come in to talk more about his book and take questions from the floor
